Insight expands Research Team further

Insight has expanded its research team further, as the company continues its development and launch of new databases for the building industry.  "Quality and accuracy of data is fundamental to our success, which is why Insight is now the leading supplier of data for the window industry. By expanding our research team further we can continue to refine and improve our databases even further, leaving us streets ahead of competitors" explains Commercial Director Helen Costeloe-Hughes.

IGU manufacturers database

Insight has now launched a comprehensive database of sealed unit manufacturers.  Commenting on the move, Insights commercial director Helen Costeloe-Hughes explained; "the glass industry is facing a major shake-up following the reduction in u-values and Window Energy Ratings, with many smaller IGU companies pulling out of manufacture while some large window manufacturers have set up IGU plants".  The Insight IGU database provides a list of companies who currently manufacture along with volumes, and the database is updated live in real-time.

Insight acquires new premises as part of major expansion drive

Insight relocates to new premises to facilitate further growth.  The new premises triples the previous floor space and incorporates a state-of-the-art call centre, graphic design studio and training/conference facilities. The new building also has a dedicated direct mail fulfilment centre and digital marketing studio.  "We now have 15 staff and are currently recruiting additional staff in research, graphic design and admin support" explains Commercial Director Helen Costeloe-Hughes.

Window Widgets 200th customer now on Salestracker

Window Widgets, the supplier of specialist products for the glazing industry, has switched to Insight Data to find new customers. “We used another database for over 7 years, but it was time to move on. Insight Data has its own in-house research team so the data is always accurate and up-to-date, but just as importantly we have complete flexibility” explains MD Dan Gill. “Old fashioned desktop databases are a thing of the past. Glassex makes it a hat trick for Insight Data

Business of the Year award winner, Insight Data, exhibited at Glassex for the second year running, following G09 Telford and Wembley regional shows. Insight Data wins Business of the Year Award

On Saturday 3rd October 2009 Insight Data Ltd was announced overall winners in the Government-backed North Somerset Enterprise Agency's Sian Lloyd-Jones Business Awards, presented by Barclays Bank. Fighting off the toughest ever competition in the Award's history, Insight's phenomenal growth over the last three years, investment in technology and employment were key factors in the judges decision. Helen Costeloe-Hughes, Commercial Director at Insight Data commented; "To be awarded membership of the Direct Marketing Association and now Business of the Year is a staggering achievement and we are thrilled to receive this prestigious business award."

Surge in companies investing in prospect data

Insight Data has seen a surge in companies subscribing to its online database, with 18 companies signing up in July.   “We have almost 200 users now accessing the database to find new customers or communicate with fabricators and installers” explains Commercial Director Helen Costeloe-Hughes; “it isn’t just systems companies or fabricators either.  Some of the industry’s leading organisations, such as the BBA (British Board of Agrement) and the GQA (Glass Qualification Authority) have recently subscribed.  In fact, any company who wish to communicate directly with fabricators or installers should consider subscribing to the Insight database.”

G09 Regional Exhibition News

Insight Data was one of the first companies to sign up and support the new G09 Regional exhibitions for the industry.  Held at Telford on 9th and 10th June, Insight had probably the busiest stand at the show, with dozens of visitors and other exhibitors genuinely impressed with the online fabricator and installer database, direct mail services and new emarketing software.

Direct Marketing Association welcomes Insight Data

After a lengthy assessment period, which included customer references and financial checks, Insight Data is the first and only database company in the window industry to be awarded membership of the internationally recognised Direct Marketing Association. Insight is committed to the DMA's "best practice" of data quality and management. "Incredibly some data providers have been in business over 10 years and are still not members" said David Lewis, Research Manager; "this clearly demonstrates Insight's professional approach."

Next stage of major expansion plans

Insight Data has completed the next stage of its expansion plan.  By far the fastest growing database provider to the window industry, Insight has acquired additional premises, and now operates over three floors, including a dedicated Research Centre.  Substantial investment has been made with a new VOIP telephone system to make 150,000 research calls per year, and the research team has been expanded with five new members of staff.  "This is in stark contrast to many of our competitors who don't have a research team or indeed outsource to telemarketing agencies to save costs" explains research manager David Lewis.

After 11 years with another database supplier, Spectus switch to Insight Data

Leading PVC-U systems company Spectus has introduced SalesTracker, the web-base fabricator and installer database from Insight Data.  Spectus sales director Duncan Douglas commented; “Insight gave us full access to their data so we could evaluate it first, and we were extremely impressed. Unsuspecting companies stung by unscrupulous database providers

When you take out a 12 month subscription to a database, you don't expect to be stung when it comes to the end of your contract. But that's exactly what several companies found when they switched from another well-known database provider - the provider tries to enforce a 6 month cancellation clause, regardless of how long you have dealt with them. At Insight Data, we believe this sort of behaviour should be banned, after all, companies should stand by the quality of their products, not the quality of their lawyers.

Insight first database company to invest at Glassex

Insight Data took a 6m wide double sided stand at Glassex 08 and signed up six new customers at the show, including machinery company Winmac. David Stone, MD at Winmac said "we were very impressed, Insight have invested substantially in the quality of their data."
