This ambitious plan forms part of the cities targets to help fund 90,000 new affordable homes by 2021.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “I want to see everyone playing their part in tackling the housing crisis in London, because it is simply unacceptable that Londoners continue to be priced out of a city they call home.”

This huge investment will help struggling businesses who have seen business decline in the recent years. The plans will see the houses being delivered by 44 housing providers – including large and small housing associations, as well as nine London councils.

This massive increase in building work across the city will drive the demand for fabricators, manufacturers and suppliers in and around London. The drive to deliver 38,500 genuinely affordable homes will see a far greater demand for tradespeople, from architects to builders.

Housing demands in London shows no sign of slowing down and the demand for building products and tradespeople is evident. Correctly targeting and having up to date, relevant data is essential.
