The latest Fabricator and Installer Report from data experts Insight Data has highlighted growth in the aluminium market.

Data analyst Jade Greenhow comments: “We have identified a significant rise in the number of aluminium fabricators on our database, but even more interesting is the increase in aluminium installers. This time last year there were 4,225 aluminium installers whereas today there are 4,640, which is an increase of some 10% in one year.”

Aluminium has generally been seen as a product for the commercial market, but with the growth of residential aluminium bi-folding doors, this perception is changing rapidly, with a high number of installers now offering aluminium alongside their PVCu range.

“As homeowners become more aware of the range of options available to them, we are seeing a shift towards aluminium being used for residential installations. More and more installers are catching on to this trend and are now offering a wider choice of materials, such as aluminium, as a result. This provides fabricators with increased opportunities to sell to installers and diversify into different markets.”

Suppliers looking to capitalise on this growing trend can find these fabricators and installers on Salestracker, Insight Data’s online prospect database. The database is updated live in real-time by Insight’s in-house team of researchers to ensure users are accessing the freshest data available 24/7.
