Relentless improvements at Insight Data

Insight Data new recruitmentsInsight Data has completed the next stage of a relentless investment plan that sees the company widen the gap even further from other data providers as well as spearhead the launch of several new prospect databases.

The company recently held a recruitment open day and invited almost 100 applicants to attend a presentation and experience first-hand Insight’s latest call centre technology. “We were looking for experienced market research people and the calibre of those attending was exceptional” comments Commercial Director Helen Costeloe-Hughes; “following an intensive selection process we have appointed five new telephone researchers who will be working on a number of projects.”

The move follows a substantial investment in IT infrastructure which includes a 1,000Mb fibre optic communications network that provides virtually unlimited call capabilities and links the state-of-the-art call centre with the company’s online database software.

Insight Data specialise in providing market data across the window, conservatory and building industry, with detailed information on 60,000 companies including fabricators, installers, local builders and architects.

Over 1,200 companies in the window industry are now changing their details every month, while 320 firms have ceased trading since January.  Insight Data’s telephone research team continuously verify and update this information while an integrated credit reference system double-verifies the data. Helen explains; “having the most accurate and relevant prospect data means our customers generate more business without wasting money targeting companies who have moved, gone bust or aren’t really a prospect at all.“

In addition to improving the rate of data refresh on existing databases, some of the new research team will also be working on the development of several new prospect databases for the construction industry.
