Demand For Timber Windows Grows, Says Insight Data

Timber windows and doors are back in vogue, according to new figures from specialist data provider, Insight DataTimber Window.

Insight are reporting a significant increase in double glazing and home improvement companies now offering this product to consumers, architects and building contractors.

The number of companies buying in timber windows and doors has increased from 3,537 to 3,893, a rise of 9% in just 12 months.

Insight Data expects the trend to increase, according to Commercial Director Helen Costeloe-Hughes; “we have seen a move among home improvement companies to offer a more diverse range of window and door products to discerning home owners, with many companies now offering timber-look PVCu, aluminium and composite products, but there has been a notable increase in demand for timber, too.”

Insight Data tracks over 15,000 window, door and conservatory manufacturers and installers and provides in-depth market intelligence, including materials and products, preferred profile brands, product volumes and detailed contact information, including over 16,500 verified email addresses.

This allows Insight to regularly provide information on market trends such as the growth of timber windows, Therefore, providing businesses with the knowledge of where the market is heading allowing them to target the right audience more effectively.

The company also provides business data on the UK’s 23,000 local builders and contractors as well as house-builders, main contractors and over 15,000 architects active in the build environment.

“It seems consumer demand for more bespoke, hand-crafted and authentic windows and doors is fuelling a timber revival” added Helen.
