Insight Data Senior Team sharpen up their GDPR knowledge.

Across Europe data protection and privacy regulations has varied from country to country and in 2012 the European Commissioner set about creating one set of standards, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) with the intention of protecting the interests of individuals and regulating how their data could be used across the EU, taking into account the effects of globalisation and technology developments.

GDPRTwo of Insight Data’s senior members of staff have recently gained a qualification to ensure their knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation is second to none.

Jade Greenhow, Operations Manager and Alex Tremlett, Research Manager completed the IDM general data protection regulation award to increase their knowledge of the upcoming data law changes.

Alex Tremlett on completing the award commented;” We have been working closely with the DMA to ensure we have the best knowledge in the industry when it comes to the GDPR. This qualification is another significant step to show our customers that we are the number one data supplier in the industry and the professionals when it comes to data regulations and laws.”

Insight Data who supply prospect marketing data for the construction and fenestration industries through their live CRM database System Salestracker, have been monitoring the GDPR closely since 2012. The implications this may have to UK business is still being assessed and Insight Data will continue to update its clients when more information comes to light. In the meantime, businesses can carry on as usual following the current UK rules.
