Insight Data help spread festive cheer this Christmas

Insight Data has come together with International Relief Charity, Samaritans Purse, to help children across the globe this Christmas.

The ‘Operation Christmas Child’ campaign has seen thousands of gift-laden shoeboxes make their way to underprivileged children during the festive period for over 30 years.

Each year, participating members are asked to fill a shoebox with items such as toys, school supplies and clothing to aid those who are in need. These small gifts are eventually sent to children who are victims of war, poverty, famine disease and natural disaster.

Two-thirds of boxes this year are due to be sent to help families of those affected by Russia’s war in Ukraine – providing a much-needed boost after what has been a horrible year for the country.

The Insight team filled their boxes up with goodies and dropped them off on Thursday, November 17th, to begin their journey across Europe.

Insight Data’s CEO, Andrew Scott, expressed his joy at being able to support those in need this Christmas.

“It is great to provide a much-needed boost to those who have endured such hardship over the past 12 months.

“We’ve all seen how families across Europe and further have been struggling in recent

months, so packing a shoebox full of gifts is really the least we can do.

“We have sent more shoeboxes this year than ever before, showing just how much tragedies in other countries are affecting us here at home.

“I am very proud of everyone here at Insight Data for taking part and supporting this great campaign”.

Since its inception in 1990, more than 178 million children in more than 150 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but a sense of togetherness on a global scale.
